My Pathway currently supports more than 2,000 participants in regional areas including Cairns, Mt Isa, Townsville and North West Tasmania. Every day we see the value the ParentsNext program can provide to support and prepare parents for future employment.
Our response puts forward options that could assist participants to retain or achieve long-term financial security increase workforce participation by women and decrease the likelihood of entrenched disadvantage. Namely, by making ParentsNext voluntary and incentivising engagement through participation fund top-up payments, extra super contributions and / or increased access to free or subsided child care.
