Causes and Advocacy

Invested in communities

We invest in causes that will impact the communities where we live and work the most.  By supporting the issues that affect our people we hope to build resilient and adaptable communities.

Industry

Industry reform

We participate in consultations with governments, industry bodies and advocacy groups to affect program reform that will benefit those we serve. Our aim is to amplify the voices of our partners and communities and offer practical solutions to improve outcomes for the participants of our programs.

Remote

Remote Indigenous communities

We advocate five key platforms to support remote Indigenous communities achieve social and economic self-determination:

Local voice – First Nations people have a say in programs and policies that impact them.

Sustainable change – stable and persistent support to overcome systemic issues.

Organisational capability – remote services from quality organisations with established people, experience and infrastructure.

Co-created employment opportunities – create employment that reflects local community, environmental, social and cultural factors.

Social impact and inclusion – enable thriving communities built on principles of social impact and inclusion.

Inclusive

Inclusive workplaces and communities

We support initiatives and celebrations that encourage greater inclusion, specifically for First Nations peoples, women and people with a disability. We also commit to actions that will empower disadvantaged groups and invest in community grants to lift capacity.
