Our NDIS clients in Doomadgee and their support workers spent the day at a local fishing spot knows as the swamp, as part of our social, community and recreation focus in the NDIS support program. For some of our clients and support workers, it was the first time they had visited the swamp in many years.
The day was spent fishing, yarning, and painting with the social aspect of the day embraced by all. The community spirit and the smiles on everyone’s faces at the end of the day told a wonderful story.
Our aim with NDIS is not only to supports Australian who have a permanent and significant disability, to live their lives and achieve their goals but also to keep our NDIS clients connected with family members & friends contribute to their personal wellbeing and emotional growth.
