My Pathway respects the privacy of all My Pathway people including members, employees, volunteers, our clients/beneficiaries, business partners, donors and online users, and is committed to safeguarding the personal information that is provided to us.

Our Privacy Statement

Personal information* collected and used by My Pathway is protected under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the ‘Privacy Act’), following the Australian Privacy Principles in handling personal information. In dealing with your personal information, My Pathway will also take any relevant local privacy considerations into account when working in your community.

My Pathway has developed a Privacy Policy to protect the privacy of the information against misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. The Policy is available on request or on SharePoint for staff members. It contains detailed information about My Pathway’s responsibilities, your rights, the information that may be collected by My Pathway and how it would be used.

My Pathway usually collect personal information directly from source person. However, we sometimes collect personal information from a third party such as an employer, training provider, carer, trustee or authorised representative or from a publicly available source, but only if you have consented to such collection or would reasonably expect us to collect your personal information in this way, or if it is necessary for a specific purpose.

My Pathway collects personal information with the primary purpose that are reasonably necessary for one or more of its functions or activities. Personal information may be used to:

  • Provide you services
  • Provide you with educational information

  • Report to government

  • Respond to your feedback or complaint

  • Answer your queries.

Please be assured that wherever possible My Pathway uses information in a de-identified form. Personal information will not be disclosed to third parties without your permission, except where permitted or required by law.

You can access the personal information that My Pathway holds about you and ask to correct personal information. You can also query how personal information is collected, held, used or disclosed by us, as well as ask questions about the Privacy Policy, or even make a privacy complaint.

* The definition of “Personal information” refers to any information that can be used to identify you and includes sensitive employment and health information.
